Dr. McAllister grew up in Salisbury, MD, a small town on Maryland???‚¬?„?s Eastern Shore. As a child he grew up observing and working in his father???‚¬?„?s small animal practice and decided to pursue veterinary medicine as a career. Dr. McAllister attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate and veterinary degrees concentrating on small animal medicine and surgery. He returned to Maryland to practice in his Father???‚¬?„?s small animal clinic for three years. Dr. McAllister and his wife moved to Sarasota, FL in 2002 and then to the East Coast of Florida in 2005. After working at All Aboard Animal Hospital for a little over a year, he purchased the practice in March 2007. In his spare time, Dr. McAllister enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa, daughter Ava and their ten pets. He also enjoys, boating, fishing, and golf when time permits.
